Also hailing from the home of Puer, 滇红 tea is also known as the “Yunnan Red Tea”. Featuring a vibrant brass orange color, one will find these often being referred to as “golden tipped”. Like our Keemun Red, this tea is a staple for red teas-- we even carry two grades! One may choose between the standard-grade daily driver (this tea) or the more luxurious grade alternative for special guests and occasions. Being of a lower grade, this tea may have a slight astringency and bitterness to it when brewed. This may appeal to existing coffee drinkers and those beginning their tea journey.
