Genmaicha

Product banner for Genmaicha

Genmaicha (literal translation: "brown rice tea") is a green tea toasted with brown rice grains. Historically, using rice as filler allowed poorer regions of Japan to afford the relatively expensive price of green tea. While Genmaicha is originally of Japanese origin (and there is a Chinese name), our Genmaicha is a Chinese house blend that has kept the original name in deference to its historical roots.
